It's me Lyric!

I feel great to be HOME I get to go places I want to go . I didn't like needles, or the blood pressure thing or getting finger pokes. I don't like that I have to keep going back to the hospital. I like that I can do fun stuff at home, and I love eating the food at home. Especially pasta! I like playing with my own toys and seeing my mom, dad and Avery.

I get to walk .which is hard. My leg hurts. I feel good though. I don't like that my hair is falling out. I feel scared that I have what I have. I feel unpopular because I'm different.
This picture is me and mom at the gardens today.

well i dont have a lot of things talk about so bye

  2. To the bravest, coolest kid I've ever heard of.
It's great to see your pic...you are soooo cute!!! I'm glad you got to spend some time at home and eat some great pasta.

Don't worry about the hair thing. Hair grows back and all the little guys I know had brush cuts this summer. My daughter cut her own bangs (way too short) and now she looks geeky, but no big deal.

Lyric - yes, you are different. You are a child-super-hero! You are braver, stronger, smarter and more loved than any kid out there - remember that.
Soon this will be all over and you will be back home to your life and school and friends.
Keep your positive and brave spirit and know that many people you've never even met yet are so, so proud of you!
    Gorgeous pic mom!
    :)

  5. Hi Lyric!! What an excellent job you did posting your first blog entry.

I am sorry to here you worry about being unpopular because you are different. Right now you are one of the most popular little boys I know. A lot of people are thinking about you all the time and that makes you far more important than any of the plain normal popular kids. You have many people who love you just for being the amazing little boy you already are so don't worry about anything. Just try to stay happy and enjoy the food and fun you have at home.

  6. Hey Lyric, it's your Uncle Jeff! First, I just want to say how proud I am of you. You are probably a much stronger boy than I was at your age, I envy you. Even though I can't see you in person right now because I work on the other side of the world, I just want you to know that I email your mother often about you and I am following this blog everywhere I go. I think it is great that you add your comments and feelings on your journey. Excellent job!

I think you have a lot of courage and charisma that put you ahead of the other boys at school. You will come out of this a much stronger, and better person.

I just want you to know that I miss you and care for you deeply. I don't have much family but you and your sister are certainly the closest family I have in the whole world.

Keep up the great work, and talk to you soon. Thinking of you Lyric, love your uncle Jeff.
